Storeperson – Scotia Underground Project, Norseman
8 Days On / 6 Days Off | Surface‑Based Stores | Remote WA
An opportunity to be a critical part of an underground mining operation without working underground.
We are seeking an experienced Storeperson to support our Scotia Underground Project near Norseman. While the operation is underground, this position is surface‑based, managing site stores, laydown and containerised storage areas that keep the operation moving safely and efficiently.
This role suits a disciplined, detail‑driven professional who takes pride in accuracy, organisation and maintaining high standards in a remote mining environment.
The Role
Reporting to site leadership, you will manage multiple surface store locations supporting an underground operation. You will be entrusted with maintaining stock integrity, accuracy and availability across critical consumables and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, issue, pick and pack stock in accordance with company procedures
- Manage stores across multiple surface locations, including laydown yards and container storage
- Safely load and unload freight and delivery vehicles
- Maintain stock levels of mining consumables to meet operational demand
- Oversee all internal and external stock movements and investigate discrepancies
- Conduct daily cycle counts and inventory checks
- Champion housekeeping, security and stores integrity at all times
- Ensure segregation of stock and non‑stock items
- Maintain Dangerous Goods storage compliance
- Coordinate deliveries and town pickups as required
- Participate in pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks and safety discussions
- Complete pre‑start equipment checks and safety documentation
- Perform only tasks you are trained, competent and authorised to perform
What We’re Looking For
You will bring previous site‑based stores experience and a strong understanding of the standards required in a mining environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Storeperson in mining or heavy industry
- Current LF High Risk Forklift Licence
- Valid Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
- Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods storage requirements
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Working at Heights
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
